How do I delete XP setup?

I have XP on my computer. I needed to fix something and made the mistake of
thinking I needed to reinstall the OS. Halfway through the XP Setup, I
canceled the process. My original XP is working fine. But every time I
restart my computer, I am asked which OS I want to run: XP Home Edition or XP
Setup. I usually select the XP Home Edition and am on my merry way. But this
choice is getting annoying and I can't seem to figure out how to delete the
XP Setup still "in progress."

Any ideas on how to delete the Setup? I tried XP online help already, and I
don't have the "backup.cab" or "boot.cab" folders (not sure what those mean
but they were mentioned in the instructions).

Many thanks for any assistance!

Edit the BOOT.INI file.

Google for "Windows XP BOOT.INI".

Do you know what boot.ini does?
I have the problem of my xp reinstallation being stuck in and endless loop,
always restarting the installation process. I would like to stop this, and
just get to start windows properly (I don't think it's been damaged) or to
actually get to do a reinstall.
Would deleting or changing the boot.ini file help?
