how do i delete old contacts from the Global contacts file?

We have different address books. how does one delete a contact that is in the
Global address book?

The Global Address List is a list of objects in your Active Directory. It
should contain only active people. Speak to your AD administrators if there
is someone listed in the GAL who should not be.
