How do I delete an item from the outbox?

Outlook 2003 has been trying to send a message with an attachement for about
a week now. The attachement is 80mb and I just want to delete it, but it
wont let me. does anyone have any ideas?
 
Waht do you mean by "it won't let" you? I think with an
80 mb attachment, performing any function would take a
long time (including deleting it).

You might try opening the message from your outbox,
deleting the attachment, and then deleting the message.
 
It says can't open item. Outlook has already begun sending this message
I have a cable modem that operates at 5mbps and a p4 2.53ghz w 1g of ram,
nothing takes this long.
