The extension 'pdf' indicates that it is an acrobat portable document format
(pdf). Thus you need to have a pdf reader installed on your computer. You
can download one for free form http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
once installed by double-clicking on the attachment and selection open it
should open for you.
unless you know the sender and know why they sent it to you, don't open it.
