How do I customize the status of tasks?

I want to change the options in the drop down menu for the status of tasks.
Example: Instead of the option "Waiting on someone else", I want it to say
"Waiting on Form 673 Return". Thanks>

The built-in field can't be cusotmized. You would have to add a custom field
and type in such values.
