How do I create desktop alerts ?

I want to create desktop alerts for the generic email inboxes configured
under outlook. Normally when we receive a new email in outlook a desktop
alert will be displayed. But for the email inboxes created manually, we do
not get such desktop alerts. Can someone help me? (e-mail address removed)

Look in Rules and Alerts - new rule. there is an option to display the
alert.
if these Inboxes you have created use a rule to move email to them then you
need to add the action to show the alert back to the rule.
