how do I create a password prtoected website

I want my homepage to have a user name and password. I only want certain
people lookign at my site. How do I set this up? Can I have more than one
user name and password and how many can I have?

The answer to this depends on what server you are running on, Windows or
Linux, unix. On a linux server, you would use PHP and MySql to set this up
and on a Windows server, I believe you would use ASP

Your host will have to support subwebs and unique permissions under the FP Server Extensions

On a Linux server it can be done using a .htaccess file which can be applied via the web masters
control panel
