How do I create a copy of my Open License XP CD

Guest

I have an Open License CD for multiple license install of XP-Pro. How would
I make a copy of this CD in case something happens to the original.

We have Nero CD burning software. Would I just create a copy from one CD to
another or should I create a Boot Disk copy ? When I tired it the 1st time
the verification failed, apparently there were a few files that did not burn
over.

Thanks

Use CD copy, the XP CD is bootable already.

Hi
Personally i would create an image to your hard drive first and then write
to CD
you can do this with nero, Read help "create image","burn Image"
For these operations I use Clone CD it is more comprehensive than Nero at
1:1 copying

Doesn't Nero have a disc copying application. We used Roxio
Disc Copier.

I have the same problem & I tried the copy an was told by Nero that it
Wasn't bootable and needed an iso! Don't know how to do that though! But I
know you can't copy it straight across.

Sure you can, you use the CD copy option. If you have only one CD drive, it
will write an image to the hard drive and then prompt you to replace the
source CD with a blank CD. If you have 2 CD drives, it will make an exact
copy.
How have you been trying to copy the XP CD? If you have been copying the CD
to the hard drive and then burning the CD from the copy on the hard drive
that will make a non-bootable XP CD. You can use it to install from an
existing Windows, or a Win98/Me boot disk, but it will not boot.
You can find all the install options from the link below.
How to clean install XP.

That's what I was doing copying it to Hard drive and burning it [or trying
to] from hard drive.

Well, now you see why it didn't work. Sometimes it is hard to tell posters
what to do when critical information is not supplied. My crystal ball is a
god send sometimes. LOL
