How do I create a back button for a hyperlink

In a Word document, after using a hyperlink I need a return button so the
user can get back to the hyperlink. My earlier version of Word the Return
button would appear when using the several hyperlinks I have in my document.

The Back button you remember is on the Web toolbar. You can display that.
Sometimes Shift+F5 works. If the hyperlink is in the TOC, you can add a "Go
to TOC" button to your toolbar.

It is called the web toolbar and so many users screamed about what a
nuisance it was that apparently it was fixed. Let your users know that Alt &
<-- (left arrow) will take them back.

This is the default key assignment for the WebGoBack command.
