how do i copy my normal.dot shortcuts into word 2003?

In the past, I could copy all my keyboard shortcuts by simply copying my
current normal.dot file into the upgraded "word" program.

That doesn't seem possible switching from 2000 to 2003, as there doesn't
seem to be a normal.dot file, just a normal.fmt file, which is not in the
same place as the normal dot used to be (documents and settings).

I'm sure there must be some way to copy all my shortcuts. Please tell me
what it is.

Thank you

There is indeed a normal.dot file in Word 2003. Note the location: Tools -
Options - File Locations - User Templates. Close Word. Then copy Normal.dot
into that location.

There is a normal.dot in Word 2003. However you may want to put your
shortcuts and other customizations in a separate file, anyway. See
http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step instructions
on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations including
AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros, etc.
