How do I copy Email messages from one computer to another

h drive to transfer filesI wish to transfer all my email messages from
Outlook Express 2003 on one computer (XP O/S) to Outlook 2007 on another
computer (Windows Vista Home Premium O/S). Both computers have USB ports so I
can use a flash drive to transfer files. I am assuming of course that it is
possible to do this. I have been unable to find an answer despite extensive
searching of the Outlook Help index and many web sites

Copy ALL your Outlook Express data files (including the one called
Folders.dbx) to your new Vista Computer. Make sure that you have full
permissions on the folder to which you copy them.
Then in Windows Mail, import your OE mail. Then do an export to Outlook
from Windows Mail

There is no version 2003 of Outlook Express.

Drag the e-mails out of OE. Each e-mail dragged out of OE creates an
..eml file; that is, each e-mail will get an .eml file created for it.
You probably don't want to drag them to your desktop since you'll end
up with lots of .eml files cluttering your desktop. Open Windows
Explorer, select/create whatever folder you would like to use to hold
these temporary .eml files, and drag your e-mails out of OE into this
folder in Windows Explorer. Then drag those .eml files into whatever
is the appropriate or equivalent folder in Outlook. Outlook knows how
to read .eml files.

There is a File -> Export menu in OE to export e-mails from OE to
Outlook but then Outlook has to be on th same host as OE and that is
not your situation. So do the drag-out/drag-in method.
