I just started using Outlook 2003 to read my e-mail. When I start it I
receive the following error message: The connection to the Microsoft Exchange
Server is not available. Through the Help section I found out that I need to
contact my system administrator to set this up but I have been unable to
learn how to do this.

Assuming that you collect mail via POP3/IMAP, then you don't need the
exchange transport. Select Tools > Email Accounts > View/Change existing
accounts and remove the Microsoft Exchange transport.

do you have an exchange server account? if you don't know for sure but use
it at homewith your isp mail account, the answer is probably No. Close
outlook, go to control panel, mail and delete the exchange account from your
profile and create the correct type of account.
