How do I Configure Outlook to open an attached file in read mode?

When I double click on an attached file, (word or pdf) it usually opens in
format that reequires me to go to the view menu to select the "read" or
"print" view to be able to read it. Is there a way to set outlook by default
to open files in "read" or "print" mode?

Outlook doesn't control options of the applications you open your
attachments with.

In Word; Tools-> Options-> tab General-> Allow opening in Reading Layout
