How do I condense or expand typeface size?

In the previous version of Microsoft Word, I found it easy to condense the
spacing of lines and condense the spacing of words. I haven't been able to
locate this in the new version. Help!

You can condense characters on the Character Spacing tab of the Font dialog
as before. Right-click and choose Font or use Ctrl+D to open the Font
dialog. You can change line spacing in the Paragraph dialog; right-click and
choose Paragraph or use the dialog launcher in the bottom right corner of
the Paragraph group on the Home tab.

Use the F1 key or the ? in the right hand corner. Search for 'kerning' and
'spaces between text'
