i would like to use outlook to send about 100 emails in a group but i want
the recipients names concealed from each other
i dont want to use BCC as this message is intended to be the original

If you don't use Bcc, you can't conceal who you're sending to if you're using a personal distribution list.

If you use mail merge to email, there is only one addressee on the to: line
.... if your list is long, it may take a few minutes, as this way will cause
one email to go out for each person in your contacts list, and nobody will
be the wiser. I do think it only works in Outlook 2003.

It appears to me as if the recipients of a bcc list are the intended single
recipients. ((I'll porbably be corrected that *they* know they're on a
bbc, but I don't see it.)) //al

Actually it works in at least Outlook 2000, as well as later versions, although in Outlook 2000, you can't send in HTML format.

What the recipient sees is controlled by their mail program,so you can't know in advance how it will present the information. Their mail program probably also will know that it's a Bcc, by looking at the mail headers, and thus may put it in the spam bucket if your address isn't a "safe sender."
