How do I clear reminder error?

Forrest

I have 2 recurring reminders that won't clear. The error reads "Can't locate
recurring information for this appointment". How do I clear them, as each
time outlook is opened, these annoying errors pop up in the reminder window.

Thanks,

Forrest

Martin,

Finally found the fix...maybe it'll work for you?

You will need to go to the Calendar.
Select View -> Current View - All Appointments
This should show a list of meetings in the Calendar. We also need to disable
any filters to ensure that all of
the meetings are showing in this list.
Select View -> Current View -> Customize Current View.

The meetings should be grouped according to Recurrence. the Recurrent (none)
items can be ignored as they do not cause the issue.

No you will need to open every recurrence meeting to see if it opens
successfully. The ones causing the problem will give an error message. The
faulty meeting should be moved out of the Calendar, either by deleting it or
by moving it to a Personal Folder file.

I have had a big issue since I started using Office Outlook 2007 at work,
with Outlook reminders that could not be closed, even though the meeting had
been deleted and removed from my Calendar.

I figured out that the problem is caused by calendar items that were deleted
from my exchange server still being stuck in my offline items folder on my PC.

To resolve this, I opened the Outlook calendar, then right clicked on the
calendar in the "My Calendar's" section on the left frame of the window, then
selected properties.

Once the Properties dialog box appeared, I selected the "Clear Offline
Items" button, which scared me at first because it removed all of my calendar
events, but the next time I started outlook, it pulled them all back down
from the exchange server, and the annoying reminders that would not go aware
were finally gone!

I hope it helps in the future. It's a lot quicker than other resolutions I
read.
