how do I clear letter that blocks recieve mail

I have been sent an email that has an 800k attachment. Every attempt to
receive causes a hangup and an eventual timeout. I have several emails
backed up and can not receive them. How do I clear this file?

If your ISP offers a web interface to your e-mail, use it to delete the
message. (Or call them and ask them to delete it.)

If you don't want to do this, then you can use Magic Mail Monitor. This
will let you delete the item in question.

By the way, you didn't mention what version of Microsoft Outlook, operating
system, or security (antivirus/antispam) software you are using. Sometimes
just tweaking your software will let you get larger messages w/out having
timeout issues.
