How do I "clear" a meeting? Simply Delete?

Outlook 2003.
I'm evaluating a switch from ACT! to Outlook. I want to "clear" a Meeting
that has been held. I right-click on the Meeting, but there's no option to
"clear".

The meeting has been held. I now longer want the meeting to show on the
Calendar.

Actually, I'm the sole "attendee". Sometimes, a "meeting" is simply a task
that must be performed at a specific time each day/week/month. I use
"meeting" so that the task shows on future dates to make me aware when
scheduling other tasks/meetings/calls.

No, but you can apply a filter to your view not to show appointments that
are in the past. The items will remain in the original calendar. Another way
to go would be to use AutoArchive. The items will then be moved to a
calendar in a separate pst-file.

or use tasks instead. They can be completed.
