How do I choose to shade ONLY a paragraph in Frontpage 2003?

I have a table with an indented paragraph and want to shade only the
paragraph. How do I do this?

Tables are an element that can have a background image
(think shading). Construct your page with tables with the
paragraph in question being in its own table. Use some
sort of "shading" graphic that you create in a graphics
progam or find elsewhere as the background in that table.
 
you could try using the Highlighter tool which, I think, writes span style...i've never used it though so dunno how universal it is.
