How do I change the way Blackberry alphabetizes my contacts?

Currently my Blackberry lists my contacts by 1st name, then middle and then
last. This obviously doesn't make it easy for me to find a contact (when I
have well over 1,000). I need to change the settings so my contacts will be
listed alphabetically by LAST name, then first...

Is this a setting I'd need to change on Outlook or my Blackberry (or both)?

If anyone knows how to do this, please tell me!

It has nothing to do with Outlook. Outlook's only job is to present a
consistent database, which it does. Synchronization features are completely
within the purview of the developers of the synch software.

Jennfuh, I am not an expert on blackberry but I do own and use a 7100g and I
just looked it up. From the main menu select Address Book, then wihtout
typing any letter click the wheel and select options. That will take you to
Address Book Options, then change the Sort By: .
That should work for you. -Luis.
