How do I change the time setting for Outlook and Exchange Server .

Outlook 2000 and Exchange Server send down email about every 30 minutes. I
need to shorten this time lag.

Are you connecting to the Exchange server via the Exchange transport? (See
Tools > Accounts in Outlook 2000. First tab should list Microsoft Exchange)
The reason that I ask is that delivery should be instantaneous when working
online.

By the way, this thought popped into my head when looking at your other
post. Are you running Windows XP and has Service Pack 2 been applied? The
reason that I ask is that the built-in firewall gets turned on by default
and could account for what appears to be slow mail delivery. (Basically if
you switch folders in Outlook, do new items show up in the inbox.)

(See Tools > Accounts in Outlook 2000.

For Outlook 2000 using an Exchaneg account, wouldn't that be Tools>Services?
Tools>Accounts is in Outlook 2000 in IMO mode.

I am running XP and SP2 has been applied. The firewall is on. I can see when
email is sitting on the corporate server and if I hit send/receive it
immediately is transfered to my computer. If I let it wait until things
happen automatically there is as much as a 30 minute lag (depends on when the
email was received on the corporate server). I have searched everywhere for
this transfer time setting (as has our Corporate IT guy) without finding it.
