How do I change the default font for plain text message?

When I edit the plain text message in inbox and change it to html, Outlook
switches the font to Times New Roman. I then have to edit message again and
change the font back to Courier New. Is there a way to keep Outlook from
changing the font or change the default to Courier New so I don't have to
edit the message twice?

I took all the steps and it still converts to Times New Roman. Should I
delete Times New Roman from Front file?

Well, I changed normal.dot and email.dot to Courier New, IE webpage font to
Courier New, Outlook mail format font to Courier New. When I "edit message"
from plain text to html it still converts to Times New Roman. I also use
Firefox browser for which I also changed the font to Courier New. Can anyone
think of what else I can do?
