How do I change how folders are listed?

How can I rearrange the way files are listed when I OPEN. I'm rather a new
user. My files are shown by file size and I would like them to appear
alphabetically.

Based on the information provided, I'm assuming that you are in a directory
and looking at all word documents/folders. Simply click on one of the
headers (e.g. Name header to sort by folder name) to sort. If you're not in
Details view,
you'll need to switch to that view as it provides the file name, size, date,
etc..
