How do I change category without creating multiple categories?

Every time I want to move an e-mail to a different category, the old category
remains. How do I stop this? I just want one category. I do not want to open
the email and right-click to 'remove' the old category for EVERY e-mail I
change.

Since outlook supports multiple categories, the only way is to remove the
old category - either by opening the message and changing the category or
right clicking on it and removing the category. If you need to remove the
same category from a group, select all and then right click... and deselect
it.

Thanks! I didn't even see the little orange box that surrounds the different
colors. That makes it ealier than opening the e-mail every time!
