how do I change a new mail sound in outlook 2002

I have changed the new mail notification sound in windows via the control
panel, but the new sound does not work with outlook 2002, how can I change
the new mail sound to work with outlook 2002.........??

Interesting. Have you verified that sound is stil configured even after a
reboot?

As a workaround you can also create a rule to play a modified sound.
