How do I boot directly into the user profile?

Renee

Hello,

I am using XP Pro and I have 2 accounts set up: user and admin. How
do I get the PC to boot directly into the user profile without having
the user enter in a password or have to click on the user name from
the welcome screen? Is it possible? I know XP boots directly into
the admin profile if that is the only account set up, but I need XP to
boot into the user account.

Any help is very much appreciated!

Thanks,
Renee

Hi Renee,

You can accomplish logging in as a specific user by doing the following.
Go to the following Microsoft website and download the PowerToy TweakUI:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
After you download and install it you can launch it by going to Start ->
Run -> TweakUI
Click on Logon and then enter the User name you want to automatically login.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
