How do I bend text with power point

What PowerPoint version are you using?
In PowerPoint 2002/XP and below, use Insert > Picture > WordArt.
Select the wordart after you have added it.
The WordArt toolbar will appear.
Select WordArt Shape (fifth icon) and choose a shape of your choice.

In PowerPoint 2007, it is under Drawing Tools > Text Effect > Transform.
