I have a WORD document with lots of document properties set up. I would like
to be able to have them highlighted so I can easily spot them. Is there a
way to do that?

I suppose you have inserted DocProperty fields in your document and that it
is the fields you want to be able to spot easily. If that is correct, I
suggest you set Tools > Options > View tab > Field shading to “Alwaysâ€. This
will apply gray shading to all fields in your documents (on the screen only -
the shading does not print). In general, I is a great help to be able to
identify all fields on the screen so that you do not by incident change the
text in a field (the change will be gone when fields are updated).

In case of Word 2007, you will find the setting here:
Office-button > Word Options > Advanced. In the â€Show document contentâ€
group, set Field shading to â€Alwaysâ€.

Alternatively, it would be possible to create a macro that applies highlight
color to all DocProperty fields but you would then also need a macro to
remove the highlight in order to prevent it from printing.
