How do I alphabetize docs in Word's 'Open' screen?

When I save a Word doc it's put in my folder in the order it was saved. I'd
rather have things saved alphabetically--so that when I go to the folder to
open a document it's easier to find. What do I have to do to make that happen?

Switch to Details view and click on the Name header. Or right-click in an
open area and choose Arrange Icons by > Name.

If you mean the Word 2007 recent file list, note that you cannot sort this
list. It always presents with the most recent file at the top.
