How do I access the same account from 2 computers over a network

I have been looking and looking, but I cannot find out how to enable 2
computers to use a single Outlook express file.

We just got a new laptop (XP, Outlook 2007), and we want it to be able,
along with our old desktop (XP, Outlook 2003) to share all the data, because
they will have the same guy using both.

From what I've gathered, Outlook saves it's data to a PST file, which I
found on the server. When I tried to add the pst file as a Data File to the
new laptop, I get an error, saying that that file is already in use.

Is it even possible to have 2 computers synchronize Outlook so that going
from one computer to another, they look exactly the same? (I realize that
they have different versions of Outlook. So, is it possible with the current
setup, do they have to both be 2007, or is it just flat-out impossible?)

Where do I start?

Firstly, you can't, and secondly, this newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
Good luck!

Sorry, why did you say Outlook EXPRESS when you actually meant OUTLOOK?

Only one instance of Outlook can be open at any one time if you add the same
PST to the two different mail profiles.

Outlook Express, which you mention is a completely different app to Outlook
Two instance of Outlook cannot share a pst, as OL require4s exclusive
access, and in any case using a pst over a network is not supported by MS
since it leads to corruption of the pst.
There are third party tools to sync. www.slipstick.com for various solutions
