How do I access "Task Manager"

I am receiving an error message when my backup add-in is trying to do its
job. I have read that I should, "Start Task Manager and make sure all
instances of the OUTLOOK.EXE process are gone."

Question 1: How/Where do I find the "Task Manager?"

Question 2: If I make the OUTLOOK.EXE program "gone" am I deleting my entire
Outlook program (sounds like a scary thing to do)?

Ways to access the Taskmanager
1) CTRL+SHIFT+ESC
2) Rightclick the Taskbar and choose Task Manager
3) CTRL+ALT+DEL button Task Manager (depending on your version of Windows)
4) Start-> Run; taskmgr

No, it just kills the running process. Also see;
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/outlookdoesntclose.htm if it happens more
often.

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

Got to the Task Manager, but the Outlook.exe is not listed in the "Processes"
(appears it is closing on its own correctly). Any idea then on how to get the
backup to work again (since removing the Outlook.exe does not seem to be an
option)?

I added Knockout. When I exit Outlook, my backup option comes up (Outlook
shows as still running in Knockout). But, when I click to terminate Outlook
via Knockout, it makes my backup option disappear. I'm in a catch 22. The
backup utility will not stay on the screen while Outlook is open (according
to Knockout).

1) get http://www.sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout so you can see if
outlook closes completely.

2) it just unloads it from memory - much like a crash does.
