It is possible to add a system folder to the Outlook Bar. For example, as a test
I selected the subfolder "My Received Files" from the listings in My Documents,
then I added a link (R-click & select) to it the Outlook Bar. All I had to do
then was drag & drop this link from Other Shortcuts to Outlook Shortcuts. It was
now accessible from the regular mail section so that any mail item could then be
copied or moved to it.
Hope this helps.
| Yes, it's possible to do the same in Outlook 2003. However, this isn't quite
| the same thing. It used to be possible to put links to system folders
| directly in the Mail section. This allowed dragging a message from any Mail
| folder directly to the desired system folder without having to open it from a
| shortcut. The system folders appeared in the All Mail Folders list just like
| any other Mail location.
|
| What you suggest does work. It just takes more of those nasty mouse clicks,
| it's an efficiency thing.
|
| Thanks.
