How do I access e-mails from the archive files?

I've got a new computer and want to transfer all my old addresses over. I
saved the archive files from outlook, but don't know how to access them
now.My old operating system was Windows98SE, the new one is XP. Any ideas?
 
Use File>Open > Outlook Data files and then you can drag/copy items to
current file.
