Archived E-mail

I unfortunately assented to the prompt to archive e-mail. Now it's gone.
When I click on the archive folder under personal folders when outlook is
open, there's nothing there. If I locate the file through my browser it says
it's in use with the current profile. Which I guess refers to the folder
that is empty.

I've checked the location of the archive file in my outlook settings and
it's the same folder. Is it possible these e-mails are somewhere else. Any
tips on how to get them back.

I don't think I'll ever archive again!

Archive and AutoArchive are very useful tools to keep your mail
organized. I have archived my mail since Outlook 97.

The archived mail goes into your archive PST folder; check your Archive
setting for the name and location of this file. Open it with Outlook
(File -> Open -> Outlook Data File), and you will see all your archived
mail in your archive Personal Folders File.

I did that, but the file is empty.
