I simply want to use Outlook instead of Outlook Express for my emails. Last
night, I followed the help instructions by simply changing the default but it
hasn't worked. I've also checked the control panel and it is pointing to
Outlook, so is there something else I need to do as I have received emails in
the OE inbox today.
Here's hoping...

Have you received mail in Outlook? Once you have and are certain that it is
working correctly, delete your email account info from Outlook Express.
Until then, unless Outlook won't work for you, don't even open Outlook
Express.

Hi thanks for your response. No I haven't received any mails in Outlook yet
only Outlook Express. Can you suggest anything else?

What happens when you try to retrieve mail using Outlook (without having
used Outlook Express first)?

This may sound like a silly question, but you *HAVE* set up an email
account in Outlook, haven't you?
