how disable PC-cillin 2000

I have been advised to disable pc-cillin before I load
a program because it is incorrectly recognizing a
component of it as a virus. How do I disable it. In the
start menu, do I unpin the real time monitor from the
start menu?

Who advised you to disable it. Can they be trusted? Why are they telling you
to do this.

If I were you, I would scan the program file/files first with the antivirus
program before I installed with the antivirus turned off. Better to be
safe......

Right click on the PC-CILLIN icon,present in the taskbar and select
"disable"

Right click, select UNPIN.

Hi,
if you unpin in the start menu it will still show the same problem.You
have to disable it :-Right click on the PC-CILLIN icon,present in the
taskbar and select "disable".Now after installation of that program you
again enable it.
