How can you set outlook to auto complete after entering only 1 ch.

i used to be able to type only 1 letter of a contact name and now i have to

When I start typing in the To field, my autocompletion list pops up after
entering just a single character.

Two suggestions: delete your existing autocomplete cache (It's
%AppData%\Mocrosoft\Outlook\yourprofilename.NK2) and let it rebuild or
create a new mail profile, which will then get its own NK2.

Won't help. Behaving as designed. Autocomplete is not invoked until you type
in 3 letters in Outlook 2002. They changed it to one letter in Outlook 2003.

Nor did they bother to document that little change anywhere. I bet they
thought no one would notice.
