How can we Shift free space from “Storage†section to “Program†se

Hi All,

I want to run .Net application in my Pocket PC but it is showing OUT OF
MEMORY problem. But when I checked the memory map (Start > Settings >
System tab > Memory) of my Pocket PC there was very less free space under
Program, but very huge free space under Storage as shown below

Storage Program
Total: 195.01MB Total: 49.47 MB
In Use: 83.30 MB In Use: 46.61 MB
Free: 111.71 MB Free: 1.86 MB


The problem might be because of less free space under Program. My
question is as there was so much free space under Storage, Can we move some
/shift free space from “Storage†section to “Program†section. Is this
Possible, Please provide me a solution, so that i can run my programme
without uninstalling any other application ?

We are using Microsoft Windows Mobile Version 5.0. OS 5.1.70(Build
14410.1.1.3). Please can you let us know the process / steps how i can
achieve this.

You can't do this from WM5 and onwards.

You'll need to shutdown some of your running applications or buy a device
with more RAM.

....or design/buy apps that allow you to put their databases (or other large
files) on a card.

It sure would be nice if WM could use the card's memory for its own use; 8GB
is a good thing.
