How can I zip attached files?

I would like to have files automatically zip when I attach them to an email?
Any ideas how I can do this. I believe I use to recieve a option box asking
how to attach the file (zipped or standard) but I have not seen that option
in quite awhile. I dont know if I turned it off or not. Any ideas on how I
can do this or maybe re-activate the option box.

You need to have a zip program that performs this operation. There is no
option in Outlook to automatically zip attachments.
