how can I subscribe to a google newsgroup?

what steps do I need to take to subscribe to a google newsgroup? as the
moment my only option is windows and I want a specific newsgroup that is not
on the windows list.

I use this free NNTP news server, you will have to register, (as you do with
any other).
They carry around 30,000 newsgroups.
