How can I stop receiving multiple incoming emails in outlook 2002.

I have reinstalled and reconfigured my Outlook 2002 several times and still
keep getting anywhere from 2 to 25 of any particular incoming email (all are
marked with the same time). It seems to be a random thing, I also have
occasional problems sending emails. They sit in my outbox and at times will
be sent, but still remain in my outbox ?? I'm thinking of simply going to
outlook express due to frustration, but like the features of outlook (don't
enjoy have to get a new ID number everytime I reinstall!) Please Help !
Or at least tell me how I can export my outlook email settings to Outlook
Express ?
FYI: I use road runner high speed.

Hi Tcsss
I have had the same problem with Outlook 2000 3 times.
It downloads multiple copies of 1 or 2 emails and then crashes.
I set up Outlook Express to clear these emails only and then use Outlook
again.
In OE set up to receive emails with the same settings you use in O and make
sure you do not leave copies on the server.
Once they are downloaded you can deal with them as you need to.
There will probably be more emails behind them that will also download.
You can forward them to yourself and download them in O if you need to keep
copies in O.
You may need to change the setting first so you don't just bring them back
in OE.
Hope this helps.

Hi Single Malt,
Sounds like a bandaid, but too confusing running both at once... isn't there
a real fix for outlook ?
