How can I stop all animation after each slide in PowerPoint?

I am working on a non-linear powerpoint presentation that has several
animations and narration. I need to be able to have people explore each slide
(for hyperlinks). As of right now, due to narrations the presentation plays
continously. How can I make the presentation stop automatically between each
slide?

Oh don't be Stressed. It's a simple fix.

For PowerPoint 2002/2003:

In your Standard Toolbar go to Slide Show > Slide Transition.
In the Transition Task pane, uncheck Advance Slide > Automatically after.
If you want this to apply to all slides click on Apply to All Slides

Now relax...
