I want to set my Outlook to prompt me if I want to save a copy or delete
messages that I send out. Thanks

I did try to set a rule to prompt for whether or not I want to save my sent
message. If there are step-by-step procedures for setting a rule, I would
appreciate that. Thanks.

Depends on WHICH version of Outlook as to what action clauses it provides.
I'm using OL2002 and the only action clause that might be usable is the one
that performs a "custom action". That means that I would need to define a
macro that opened a dialog to ask me whether to save the sent message (and
select a folder) or to delete it. I don't do macro programming for Outlook
but you could ask over at outlookcode.com. If no one else chimes in here
with such a macro, you could also start a new thread with "Need macro to
prompt for save/delete action after sending mail" in the Subject to lure
those which programming experience into answering. If you are using OL2003,
it might have additional action clauses that OL2002 doesn't have.
