How can i set a password for certain column in a spreadsheet

I would like to set a password to certain group of people in order for them
to modify the related column. Means that Group A only allow to modify the
data in Column A-C, Group B only allow to modify the data in Column D-F,
otherwise only able to view, is there anyone can advise me?
 
Go to Tools>Protection and Allow users to edit range, this will allow you to
set passwords for various users on several ranges.
