I would like to be able to email a contact and get updated information from
them for my address/contact list. Is there a way to do that.

I guess you could ask them to update their contact info or send you a new
vcard. You can't send someone an empty vcard and ask them to fill it out - a
vcard is just a way to export/import an Outlook contact.

There's also third party stuff like Plaxo, but personally I would never use
it - when I get requests for updates via Plaxo I politely tell my friend or
colleague that I am not interested in entering my contact info into a large
anonymous corporate database, thank you very much
