How can I save documents after a certain date?

Imagine a folder containing a lot of sub-folders. How can I save files
written after a certain date, say from 11th February 2004 to the present?
I'm desperate for this info and should be most grateful for help. Robin.

Do you mean you want to trash files that are older than 11 Feb 2004? If yes,
then use Windows Search. Start-->Search, choose For Files or Folders. Use
the modified dates.... once your search is complete and you've verified that
these are, indeed, the files you DO NOT WANT, then Ctrl+A, and delete.

Many thanks for your reply, Anne. I think I must have misled you by the way
I phrased my question. To be specific: I have a folder labelled 'Swan
Hellenic'. A computer-wise friend, no longer accessible, saved all the
files in that folder up to 11th February 2004 to a CD. What I want to know
is how to select and save the files I have added since that date and up to
the present day to another CD. I hope I've expressed my question more
clearly, and should be very grateful for your further advice. Robin.

The easiest way to do this is to view the files in Windows Explorer sorted
by date; then select all those after February 11 to be saved.

Thank you very much, Suzanne - easy when you know how! I'm really grateful
to you for taking the time to inform me; it will make systematically
clearing my hard disk, while backing-up essential files, so very much
quicker. Best wishes Robin What a great institution this discussion
group is!
