How can I rotate objects in draw without changing shape?

When I make an object in excel draw the object changes shape. ie. square
becomes rectangle, circle become oval. I wish them to remain as I drew them.

That is what happens when you hold down SHIFT as you make the drawing.
Do you have a wandering digit?
