In a command-prompt window, how do I access command buffers to find and repeat a command? I see options to modify the number and size of buffers, but can find no information in the XP Pro Help about how to actually repeat any of the commands saved in any of the buffers.

try the up and down arrows

Thanks, up arrow works to retrieve previous commands. Does it go back through all buffers, or is there a way to select a buffer? (Why are there multiple buffers, anyway?)

Click the question mark in the title bar then click the item you want info on.

Command-prompt window has no question mark in the title bar, at least on this XP Pro system.

In the properties dialog, click the number of buffers to finf out what it is.
