how can I repair Outlook as unable to open after 2Gb storage?

I hope you can help:
I had on my e-mail 2Gb of stored messages and it simply crashed.
I always agreed when the system performed the auto-archive of old itens, but
apparently, it was not enough.
Now I need to have access to the information I had there but unable to open
the program.

Hello
You don't state which version of Outlook you use, but I assume from the size
of the PST it's likely not 2003. You can run scanpst on it to try to repair,
but you should also keep your PST files to 2 GB or less.

Just a note - scanpst.exe does not work on a 2 gig .pst file. The user will
need to use the PST Crop Tool outlined in the KB article or here:
