I use a notebook as backup for my pc and would like to receive the same email
on both computers.

You can choose to either synchronize your mail or leave a copy on the server.

What I did but dont recomment is this: I moved the PST location file from its default and put it into the "shared folder" on my main PC. Then when i opened outlook it said it cant find the file, so i directed it to where it's new location was. Then closed down outlook on main pc and then opened outlook on my notebook and picked up the new location ie on the "shared" folder on the main pc across the network. You cant view the same file at the same time, one machine has to be not using outlook in order for the "share" to work.

It can be messy and i dont recomment it!
